Upcoming Budget Vote

You will have the opportunity to vote on your library's budget from noon until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd.  We are asking for an additional tax levy of $7,926, an increase which is less than the amount allowed under New York State's Tax Cap legislation.  With this additional funding, the total tax levy for the library's next fiscal year (July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016) would equal $304,440.

Copies of the proposed budget are available at our checkout desk.  In addition, the Sodus Community Library Board of Trustees will hold a public budget hearing at 7 p.m. this Thursday, May 25th.

There are no Trustee openings to be voted on this year.  Absentee ballots are available at the Sodus Central School District Clerk's office at 6375 Robinson Road.  If you have any questions regarding the budget or the vote (or anything else library related), please stop by or give us a call at (315) 483-9292.

Celebrate National Library Week!

Many of the libraries throughout the Pioneer Library System are celebrating National Library Week by collecting "Food for Fines," and we hope that you will join us in this effort.  We'll be accepting boxed and canned food items for our local food pantry in place of fines from Monday, April 13th, through Saturday, April 18th.  (Fines for lost or damaged items are not eligible for this offer.)  Help us make a difference in our community!
