Take Your Child to the Library Day

Stop in any time from 10-5 this Saturday (February 4th).  There's a Pokémon card tournament at 11:00 for 4th graders and up (must sign up) and we're making giant twisted paper snowflakes at 1:00. There will be drawings throughout the day.  Stop in and see us!

Family Movie Day

Come watch a family movie at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27th.  Snacks are provided.  The movie is rated PG and is 90 minutes long.

Gaming on Wednesday

Join us from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25th, for gaming.  You can play our Wii games, and then try out our new PS4, purchased with funding from an Innovative Technology grant from the Pioneer Library System.  Thank you, PLS!

Weather Closing Library

The library is closing at 4 this afternoon (Tuesday, January 10th) due to the freezing rain and deteriorating road conditions. The Saints & Sinners program scheduled for this evening has been postponed until 6:30 on Tuesday, January 24th. We will not charge any overdue fines on materials that are due today. Stay safe!

Library Board Meets Thursday

The monthly meeting of the Sodus Community Library Board of Trustees will be held at 4 p.m. this Thursday, January 12, in the Ruth Mills local history room.  Board meetings are open to the public.

Big Blue Blocks Are Here!

Stop in and play with the big blue blocks - they'll be in our lobby the entire month of January!

Decorate Gingerbread!

Kids can join Ms. Roxanne at 11 a.m. this Friday, December 23rd, to decorate gingerbread cookies.  Keep some for yourself or give them away!

We're open regular hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) today, Friday the 16th, but we know there's a lot of snow out there and the roads are still nasty.  If you can't get out of your driveway, just give us a call at 483-9292 and we'll renew your items over the phone. 

Early Closing Thursday

Sodus Central schools are closing at 1 p.m. this afternoon (Thursday, December 15th), and the Library will be closing at 3 p.m. due to the blizzard in the forecasts.  We will be extending your due dates, so no fines will be added for today.  You can still download an eBook or audiobook from OWWL2go, or a magazine from Zinio.  If you can, stay off the roads!

Join us for holiday stories at 6 tonight (Tuesday, December 13th).  Wear your pajamas, and bring a stuffed (or real!) friend if you'd like.  We'll provide the fun and a snack.

Holiday Bake Sale

Join us for our annual Holiday Bake Sale from 10-7 on Thursday, December 15, and 10-4 on Friday, December 16.  Our Friends will have all kinds of holiday goodies for sale, including cookies, cakes, pies, muffins, candies, breads, snack mix, and more.  Pick up presents for others, or just shop to treat yourself - we won't tell!  If you're in the baking mood, donations will be gratefully accepted starting Wednesday between noon and 7, and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
