PJ Stories This Tuesday

Ms. Roxanne will be reading camping-themed stories at 6:30 this Tuesday, September 27th.  Come in your pajamas, and bring a stuffed friend if you'd like.  We'll also provide a snack.

Time For Harvest Fest!

Don't forget to join us for Harvest Fest Fun starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday, September 24th).  Over 80 vendors are setting up booths along Main Street, and you'll see classic cars down Maple Avenue in front of the library.  On our lawn, we'll have pumpkin bowling, pumpkin tic tac toe, a candy corn guess, and a fall craft.  Children can also pick up a free book from our Friends of the Library group!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help your child develop the skills needed for school success by taking part in the national early literacy program "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten."  You can get more information and sign up your 0-5 year old at the library starting September 24th.  You will not only boost the learning potential of your child, you'll both have fun bonding through reading all those wonderful books.

Books-Sandwiched-In Luncheon

The Friends of the Sodus Community Library have scheduled an interesting subject for their first BSI of the season:  "Ling Eaters and Other Strange Fish!"  Bruce Farrington will share several quirky stories of Sodus Point - the horse that drank beer??? - on Tuesday, September 20th.  The luncheon starts promptly at noon, with Bruce's talk immediately following.  Reservations are required; call us at (315) 483-9292 or stop by the library to reserve your spot.

Pokémon GO @ Your Library

Come and enjoy free lures on our Poké stop while you catch your favorite Pokémon!  Join us between 2:30 and 4:30 on two Tuesdays, September 13th and September 27th.

Library Board Meets Thursday

The monthly meeting of the Sodus Community Library will be held at 4 p.m. this Thursday, September 8th, in our Ruth Mills local history room.  Board meetings are open to the public.

Zinio for Libraries is our new digital magazine service.  Stream or download cover-to-cover editions of your favorite magazines to your computer or device (download the Zinio for Libraries app at your app store).
