Deadline Approaching
Remember that Thursday, August 31st, is the absolutely last day to turn in your Books: A Treasure! Time Trackers and Reading, Family and/or Vacation Bingo cards. It is also the last day for prize winners to pick up their prizes (although I think there are only 1 or 2 of you who haven't already rushed in to choose something from the window!).

Summer Reading Finale
Another treasure of a program today, as The Meatballs performed their musical program with lots of audience participation (including a conga line through the building!).
Remember, minutes you read through this Saturday all count for this week's Time Tracker. The Trackers and any completed Bingo sheets are due back at the Library by August 31st. As of today, the Ruby Team (1st-3rd graders) is way ahead on total minutes read - 7,280 with one week to go! Have fun as you finish up your sixth week of reading for Books: A Treasure!

Finale Program Next Thursday
You will laugh. You will sing. You will make some very silly noises. Come to the Library at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 17th, for our Books: A Treasure! finale program featuring The Meatballs.
The Meatballs play a variety of musical styles from island to jazz to pop to ... well ... just plain silly! With over 30 years of combined musical experience, Bob Pezzolesi and Blair Frodelius have been performing together professionally since 1996. As parents themselves, they know how to keep kids laughing, dancing, and singing! Bob, keyboards and vocals, has five children, and definitely knows how to keep the kids laughing. Blair, guitar and vocals, has six kids of his own, and is only slightly less silly than Bob. (And their name? Bob's Italian and Blair's Swedish - together they just had to be The Meatballs!)

Bubble Day!
Everyone had a great time on Bubble Day experimenting with all of Ms. Bugni's bubble makers. We made HUGE bubbles with hula hoops, badminton rackets, all kinds of plastic utensils, and even a few things that were meant to make bubbles! Here are a couple of pictures we took Thursday. Be sure to visit the Library to see more pictures of our Books: A Treasure! adventures.
