Author Program Tonight!

Thanks to funding from our hard-working Friends group, we're able to offer a real treat to the entire community. In collaboration with the Sodus Central School District and the Newark School District, the Library will be hosting award-winning author Steve Sheinkin at 5 p.m. tonight (Monday, November 3rd).

Sheinkin writes fascinating books on American history, including The Notorious Benedict Arnold, which won the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults and the Boston Globe/Horn Book Award for Nonfiction, and Bomb: The Race to Build – and Steal – The World’s Most Dangerous Weapon, a Newbery Honor Book, a National Book Award finalist, and the recipient of many other accolades and honors. His newest release, The Port Chicago 50: Disaster, Mutiny, and the Fight for Civil Rights, has already been named a National Book Award finalist.

The program at the library will be the only opportunity for the general public to meet Sheinkin during his visit. Attendees are encouraged to bring along a personal copy of any of the author’s titles, as he has offered to sign them after his program. We hope you can attend!
