Agreed! When my daughter was little, we spent hours with the Tasha Tudor books poring over the beautiful illustrations; I especially remember her being fascinated by the one where the family sent the birthday cake, with the candles lit, down the river or creek. Eventually we took out the books on her life, and that was just as fascinating :)
