Ask Us 24/7

Ask Us 24/7, an online virtual reference service run through Question Point and through the guidance of the Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC), is now linked in the right-hand column of this site. Individual public librarians from all of the different chat organizations work in conjunction with paid Question Point librarians to provide 24 hour reference coverage 7 days a week.

To use this service, click on the link and enter your question in the box provided. A librarian will be with you shortly; approximate wait time is 1-2 minutes. Note: You will not necessarily be chatting with anyone local, or even from this part of the state.

Ask Us 24/7 is a a service of the New York 3Rs Library Councils and their member libraries and library systems.

Newest OWWL Enhancement

Have you noticed the latest enhancement to our OWWL catalog? It's ChiliFresh Review Engine. Made possible by a Harold Hacker Fund grant to the Pioneer Library System, this service lets you give star ratings and write reviews on the books you read. It's also a great way to find that next great book. I'd love to hear your experiences using ChiliFresh.

We Love Our Friends!

We have a great group of Friends. Led by Shirley Patchett, Friends members and volunteers baked, priced, set up and sold all kinds of wonderful goodies (and jewelry and coffee table books) at their Holiday Bake Sale, bringing in $925.42 - almost double their previous best! Thank you to Shirley and all her helpers, too numerous to mention here, to Elinor Weldgen who arranged the jewelry display in spite of her recent surgery, and to Martin Dudley for donating two of his handcrafted nautical-themed wreaths. We're grateful for all the time you donate for the benefit of the library. Thank You!
